Microsoft Teams Tutorial: Save a Message in Microsoft Teams
In this article, I will show you how to effectively use one of my favorite Microsoft Teams tips and tricks: bookmarking messages. While I love Microsoft Teams, I do find that at times I can be overwhelmed with notifications and messages (i.e. channel posts, chat messages, planner task notifications, calls etc.) and that is not even factoring in the endless amount of email that I still receive. However, bookmarking messages is one of the many techniques that I use to help me stay organized and remain productive. To bookmark a message in Microsoft Teams essentially means to save the message so it can be easily accessed in a central location (which I’ll show you how to access in the steps below). Lastly, while this tip is a handy way to stay on top of all that is going on in Teams, you do need to be methodical and systematic to effectively use this technique. Let’s go ahead and check it out.

How To Bookmark a Chat Message in Microsoft Teams
Step 1: Place your cursor over the chat message that you want to bookmark. As you hover over the message a menu bar with emojis will be displayed. Click on the “…” (more options) at the end of the menu.
Step 2: In the more options menu, click on “Save This Message”. This will add the message to your saved list.
How To Bookmark a Channel Post in Microsoft Teams
Step 1: Place your cursor over the channel post that you want to bookmark. As you hover over the channel post a menu bar with emojis will be displayed. Click on the “…” (more options) at the end of the menu.
Step 2: In the more options menu, click on “Save This Message”. This will add the message to your saved list.
How To View Saved Messages in Microsoft Teams
Step 1: Click on the profile picture icon in the upper right-hand side of the Microsoft Teams user interface. Then click on “Saved”.
Step 2: This will display a menu on the left-hand side of the Microsoft Teams user interface that displays all of your unsaved messages. Simply click on the message that you want to see.
How To Unsave a Message in Microsoft Teams
Step 1: To unsave a message, click into your message list and click on the bookmark icon. This will remove it from your saved messages list.
